From June 1st 2008 the pre-register/register of chemical substances under REACH began, and there are only 6 months to be able to take advantage of the extended periods for registration.

The application of the regulation force the companies to register all the substances (new or existing) that are produced or imported in amounts over 1 ton per year, (raw material, final products or intermediate substances which are isolated from the productive process), which supposes a series of proceedings, registries and information about the affected substances.

This fact suppose on many cases an important work load and the no application of REACH could have serious consequences for the companies, suspension of all the activity related to the substance, exclusion of this substance of the market or the application of legal measures, until the substance is registered.
